Coworking, a brand new addiction

hack-up is one step closer to coworking
An addictive trend is rapidly spreading through Italy. Its name is COWORKING, and you’ll get used to it.

According to Wikipedia, coworking is the social gathering of a group of people, who are still working independently, but who share values and who are interested in the synergy that can happen from working with talented people in the same space.

It’s a worldwide trend: the Jelly coworking started in NYC in 2006, but many more experiments are going on in Michigan, in Texas, in North Carolina, in Massachusetts, in California and more! London is on fire and African techies are starting, too.

What about Italy? Some experiments are going on in Milan, Rome and Bologna. Monkeybusiness started in Milan and MIKAMAI is working on it right now, according to Riccardo Cambiassi’s suggestion.

Let’s start it!

Interesting… I think same pattern can be recognized in open source development: people like to work together with other talented people in order to (1) learn and (2) spread their reputation all over.

Besides, it’s – IMHO – a “natural way” to aggregate people with common interest but different skills on common target (project/initiative/etc).

Max, sì sarebbe un’ottima opportunità.
In settimana ci saranno sia la GirlsGeekDinner che l’Hack-Up qui in MIKAMAI. Incontriamoci!
